THE WORKSHOP NEWSLETTER AND WORKSHOP DISCUSSION GROUPS

Every month we publish the Workshop Newsletter, which announces workshop news, the latest enhancements and features, and the monthly Editors' Choice submissions. Each month our Resident Editors select one outstanding submission in each category as an Editors' Choice and review it in the newsletter. Editors' Choices do not count against a member's three-submission limit, and remain on display, with their editorial reviews, in our Editors' Choice archive for about four months.

The newsletter also includes excerpts from the monthly Reviewer Honor Roll, which is a list of reviewers whose feedback has been especially helpful to other members. Members may nominate reviews by using the nomination links at the bottom of each review.

The newsletter is sent out via the news-only mailing list. If you did not sign up to receive the newsletter (via the news-only mailing list) when you joined the workshop, you can do so below.

E-MAIL DISCUSSION GROUPS:

This online writing workshop has three associated e-mail discussion groups for members (and people interested in becoming members):

1. The SFF-Writing group, for discussion of the workshop, submissions, ratings and reviews, the SF/F market, and writing in general. This group is open to all, and everyone can contribute messages to it, but all messages are moderated by Online Writing Workshop staff. Off-topic postings will not be approved. Commercial advertising is not allowed. Medium volume; available in daily digest format.

2. The SFF-Chat group, for general talk among workshop members. This is where messages that are not appropriate for the SFF-Writing list should be posted. Commercial advertising is not allowed. Unmoderated. Sometimes high volume; available in daily digest format.

3. The SFF-News-Only mailing list, for publication of the monthly workshop newsletter and occasional important news bulletins when necessary. This is an announcement-only list; only Online Writing Workshop staff may post to it. Very low volume--usually only 1 message per month. (Newsletter archive)

To subscribe to a group, just type your e-mail address into the appropriate box below and click the "Join List" button.

To unsubscribe to a list at any time, go to http://groups.yahoo.com, sign in if necessary, click on the appropriate group name on the left-hand side, then click on the "Unsubscribe" link on the right-hand side.

To set the the Writing or Chat group to digest mode, follow these instructions:

• Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/oww-sff-writing or http://groups.yahoo.com/group/oww-sff-chat
• Sign in if necessary
• Click on "Delivery Options" on the left
• Choose "Daily Digest"
• Click on the "Save Changes" button to update your settings.
